Korean Army Stew

Learn how to make popular Korean famous hot pot - Budae Jjigae, also known as army stew! It is loaded with Kimchi, luncheon meat, Korean rice cake, ramen noodles and much more! This is so easy and you can make it under 20 minutes.

Ingredients:

OKI Premium Canola Oil
2 tbsp Gochujang
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
Roasted sesame
350ml water
½ red onion
Kimchi
Chinese cabbage
Luncheon meat
Tofu
Enoki Mushroom
Korean rice cake
Sliced pork belly

Cooking Instructions

1. In a small mixing bowl, mix gochujang, soy sauce, sugar, roasted sesame and 50ml of water until well combined. Set aside.
2. Heat OKI premium canola oil in a frying pan, saute onion and some kimchi until fragrance. Assemble the Chinese cabbage, luncheon meat, tofu, Enoki mushroom, Korean rice cake and sliced pork belly. Then add in the gochujang mixture and water. Cover with lid and cook over medium heat.
3. When the stew starts to boil, reduce the heat and add in kimchi to cook for another 5 minutes. Add in the noodles and cheese, and boil for another 3 minutes until the noodles are cooked through.
4. Garnish with green onion and serve hot. Enjoy!!
